Over the past year or so we have been approached by many of our readers for extra projects for when they are not busy or wanting to try a different genre to add to their resume. These requests led to the developement of a co-publishing program that both filled the readers downtime and allowed us to fast track some productions without breaking the bank. It became the perfect win/win situation, so much so that we are expanding it.
Here is how it works:
When a reader has downtime (they have either no projects scheduled or a light workload), they contact us and we give them a project that is usually scheduled further out or a project that we have on the back burner. This project will have a loose completion time that allows the reader to either work straight through on it or fit it in between higher priority jobs.
When the project is complete, the reader gets a small advance on the work and then 1/2 of all the net sales up to an agreed upon "per finished hour" fee and then usually an additional 10% royalty on all sales thereafter. The projected payback is 2 to 3 months.
This program is also a great way for a less experienced reader to get their name on some projects to add to their resume. This makes a great earn as you learn situation.
We now have a few readers doing this program exclusively just for the flexibility.

Due to recent issues with untried talent, we are requiring that new and/or untried voice talent complete a co-publishing project before being added to our full time roster or added to our registered talent pool.
